IJM Construction Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary, has received two (2) Letters of Award dated 11 October 2006 from Talam Corporation Berhad ("TCB") for the Execution and Completion of Remaining Construction Works for the Proposed Mixed Development Projects, known as Taman Puncak Jalil, Putra Perdana, Ukay Perdana, Kinrara Section 3, Bukit Beruntung, and Lagoon Perdana, at a total contract sum of RM717 million and a construction period of 36 months.

The award of the contracts has been pursuant to the settlement agreements reached by TCB for the outstanding amount of the Al-Bai Bithaman Ajil Islamic Debt Securities of RM528.87 million and Murabahah Notes Issuance Facility of RM196 million respectively, as announced on 6 October 2006 and 11 October 2006.

None of the Directors nor substantial shareholders of the Company, or persons connected with them, has any interest, direct or indirect, in the transaction.
