IMPOSITION OF SUSPENSION

We refer to our earlier announcement pertaining to our application to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") for an extension of time on paragraph 8.14C(5) of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities.
We are pleased to inform that Bursa Securities has decided to await the outcome of the Company's submission of an appeal to the Securities Commission ("SC") against SC's decision vide letter dated 25 September 2007 not approving Talam's proposed regularisation plans ("the Appeal") together with an improved regularisation plan and defer the imposition of suspension on the trading of the Company's securities on Thursday, 4 October 2007 and commencement of de-listing pursuant to paragraph 8.14C(5) of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities.
Bursa Securities' aforesaid decision is without prejudice to Bursa Securities' right to proceed to suspend the trading of the securities of the Company and to commence de-listing procedures against the Company in the event:-
(i) the Company fails to submit the Appeal to SC within the timeframe or extended timeframe prescribed by SC;
(ii) the Company does not succeed in the Appeal;
(iii) the Company fails to obtain the approval from any other relevant authorities necessary for the implementation of its regularisation plans; or
(iv) the Company fails to implement its improved regularisation plans within the timeframe or extended timeframes stipulated by SC and other relevant authorities.
Upon occurence of any of the events set out in (i) to (iv) above, a suspension shall be imposed on the trading of the listed securities of the Company upon the expiry of 5 market days from the date the Company is notified by Bursa Securities or such other date as may be specified by Bursa Securities and de-listing procedures shall be commenced againts the Company.
